The Plan for the Day
1.30pm - Drinks & catch up
The Dickin Arms will be open beforehand, so come along early for a drink, a catch-up and a little pre-ceremony celebration to get into the wedding spirit.
3.30pm - The blessing
We’ll then head over to St Michael & All Angels’ Church for our blessing. Please arrive in plenty of time to take your seat before the ceremony begins.
After the blessing
Once the blessing is over, it’s back to The Dickin Arms for more drinks, food and celebrations. We’ll settle in for the afternoon and evening. There will be a live band and plenty of time to eat, drink and enjoy being together. Carriages from midnight.

What to wear?
Summer Formal
For the men
Think smart, relaxed and ready for a summer celebration. Suits, lightweight tailoring, smart trousers with a shirt, or a summer dinner jacket are all welcome. Ties are optional, so feel free to keep things relaxed & stylish.
For the women
Think elegant summer dressing. Dresses, skirts, jumpsuits and sophisticated separates are all encouraged. Light, colourful and seasonally appropriate outfits are perfect for the occasion.

Where to stay?
Welcome to Shropshire
For most of you, Loppington is nicely close to home, but for those travelling from further afield, thank you for making the journey to celebrate with us!
If you aren’t lucky enough to be able to head home to your own bed after the celebrations, we’re currently putting together a list of local accommodation options around Loppington, which we’ll add here shortly.
In the meantime, feel free to do some digging of your own for accommodation in Loppington and the surrounding area. There are plenty of hotels, B&Bs, cottages and self-catering options within a short drive of the celebrations.
And if you do find the perfect place before we get our list together, even better!

By car
The celebrations will take place in Loppington. There is parking available both around Loppington Village and at Loppington Village Hall, however this will be limited so please car pool where you can. We recommend putting the full address or What3Words location into your sat nav before setting off, particularly if you're travelling from further afield.
By train
The nearest train stations are Shrewsbury and Wem.
Shrewsbury is likely to be the easiest option for most guests travelling by train, with regular services from across the country. From the station, you'll need to arrange a taxi for the final journey to Loppington.
We'd recommend booking your taxi in advance, especially if you're travelling later in the day or as part of a group.
Some local taxi companies include:
A little tip
If you're coming by train, we'd suggest arranging your taxi before you travel and giving the driver the exact venue address. Mobile signal can be patchy in parts of the area, so it's better to have everything sorted in advance.

Food & Drink
Once we’re back at The Dickin, the bar will be open and ready to go.
As for food, there will be plenty to enjoy after the blessing, with a BBQ and cheese table waiting for you back at The Dickin Arms. That said, please make sure you’ve eaten beforehand! There’ll be a little time between arriving at The Dickin and the food being served, so don’t turn up on an empty stomach.
There’ll be plenty of snacks, food and drinks throughout the celebrations, so come ready to eat, drink and enjoy yourselves.
